+ Why is the Gas Tank plate only for the Ranger Raptor?

The Ranger Raptor has a unique frame and underbody layout compared to standard Ranger models. This skid plate was engineered specifically to match the unique mounting points and gas tank shape of the Raptor and will not fit other Ranger trims.
+ Can I install the Transmission plate on my Ranger FX4?

Yes, but with one condition. This plate is NOT compatible with the small, factory-installed steel transfer case cover that comes on the FX4. You must remove that factory cover before installing the RIVAL Transmission Skid Plate.
+ At only 10 lbs, is the engine plate strong enough for serious off-roading?

Absolutely. The strength of the 1/4-inch plate comes from its deep-stamped design with reinforcing ribs, which makes it incredibly rigid. It is engineered to handle serious impacts while being exceptionally light and 100% rust-proof.
+ Do I need to remove the skid plate for an oil change?

No. The Engine Skid Plate is designed with a convenient service port that allows access to the oil filter and drain plug without needing to remove the entire plate, saving time and hassle during maintenance.
+ Will installing these skid plates void my Ford warranty?

No. Because the RIVAL system is a 100% bolt-on product that uses existing factory mounting points without any drilling or permanent modification, it does not void your vehicle's factory warranty. The system is fully reversible if needed.
+ How does this compare to the factory FX4 skid plates?

The RIVAL system is a significant upgrade. Our plates are made from 1/4-inch (6mm) deep-stamped aluminum, offering substantially more thickness, strength, and coverage area than the thinner, stamped steel factory FX4 plates. + Will this system reduce my ground clearance?
