No, there is absolutely no drilling required. The shield uses existing factory holes. You may need a rivet nut tool to insert threaded nuts into these existing holes, which provides a strong, secure, and completely reversible mounting point.
The shield is designed for maximum protection and may cover some service points for the transmission. For major services, the shield can be removed by a professional using the included security bit. Routine engine oil changes are not affected.
This shield is designed to work with the factory TRD Skid Plate. However, it may not be compatible with aftermarket lift kits that modify or replace the stock chassis crossmember. Please verify your lift kit's design before purchasing.
