Most roof racks generate wind noise, but the Leitner ACS ROOF includes a specially designed Wind Noise Reducer. Most owners report significant noise reduction compared to standard racks. For optimal results, ensure the fairing is installed correctly flush against the roof line.
We recommend using touchless car washes or hand washing only. Automated washes with heavy rotating brushes can snag on the rack or mounted accessories (like the GearPOD), potentially damaging both the rack and your vehicle.
The GearPOD ROOF is weather-resistant and automotive-grade sealed, designed to handle rain and snow. However, it is not submersible. We recommend using dry bags for sensitive electronics during extreme pressure washing or severe storm conditions.
The sliding load bars allow you to adjust the position of the crossbars. You can position them to avoid covering the sunroof glass directly when not carrying a load, though the side rails run the length of the roof.
