Since this rack mounts to the T-slots of a tonneau cover rather than directly to the truck frame or bed, the weight limit is dictated by the strength of the tonneau manufacturer's rails. We recommend adhering to on-road limits for maximum safety.

Yes. This rack is designed as a low-platform system that sits above the bed line. However, the exact clearance for folding or rolling your cover depends on your specific cover model. Most retractable covers operate with zero interference.
The side-opening GearPOD ROOF is automotive-grade sealed and designed to keep out rain, snow, and trail dust. While it is highly weather-resistant, it is not submersible. We recommend sensitive electronics be kept in dry bags during extreme storm conditions.
