Sleek, secure, and durable–what else could you want? The bakflip-MX4 tonneau cover is a top-of-the-line hard-folding cover engineered for maximum aesthetics, weather resistance, and security.
The bakflip-MX4 is constructed entirely from alloy materials, including heavy-duty aluminum top panels and side rails.
Unlike comparable soft-folding tonneau covers, you can't simply slice through the MX4 with a pocket knife.

Full Bed Access
When you need to haul large items, just fold the cover toward your cab and secure it in place with the supplied prop rods.
The prop rods rest in an improved rail clip when not in use and upgraded cab bumpers prevent the cover from scuffing your paint.
Upgraded Side Rails
Channeled rails hold the cover in place while shut. These rails feature rubberized endcaps, which prevent any raw aluminum from being exposed.
Universel Tailgate Functionality
Triple fin seals allow the tailgate to operate whether the cover is open or closed. The cover can be closed with the tailgate up too.
Matte Black Finish
The all new matte black finish offers superior scratch resistance and UV protection.
No Drill Clamp
The MX4 can be installed in less than an hour without drilling into the truck bed.

Yes it will
What is recommended to clean and preserve the top?
A mild soap and water mixture works best, avoid anything with wax as it can cause a build-up on the cover

Can you fold this up 2/3 of the way and still hook up a gooseneck trailer?
On an 8-foot bed yes, anything shorter and it will need to be folded up to the cab.
How does this cover work with carwashes and is t her any noise driving 70 mph down the road ?
Touchless carwashes and/or hand washing are recommended. It can be safely driven at highway speeds with no noticeable noise when properly installed.
How much weight can the cover hold?
Approximately 400 lbs. evenly distributed.
Is hail damage covered by the warranty?
Unfortunately acts of nature are not covered under the standard manufacturer warranty
Can this be opened without lowering the tailgate? For example, sometimes I will go for a swim at the beach and leave my keys in a lockbox in my truck bed so I wouldn’t be able to unlock the tailgate first.
Unfortunately not, the way this cover is designed is to "lock" with the tailgate as there is no external lock on this system.
I recently had one panel on my Bakflip MX4 damaged by a rock. Can I buy a panel replacement without buying the entire kit?
The panels cannot be separated or bought separately, if looking to replace due do damage it would have to be the entire unit.

Happy but only after some major install issues.
The wait time was more than I anticipated even after seeing the notification of long lead times. I have to give them props for giving some compensation for the excessive wait time. Having slightly larger holes would help with fitment. Had a hard time getting the front drivers side away from the pinch weld. Eventually had to use washers to add space away from the truck. Need to update pictures and instalation video for the new sliders they are now making

All packing and shipment were great, everything was there. I had to contract out the install because of arthritis, it took them two hours and looks perfect. Zero wind noise at any speed 0 to 100.

High Quality Rack
Fit and finish is excellent. Looks great on the Bronco. No whistling noise at all, some additional wind noise over 60mph but not much different than it was without the rack. Assembly was not too difficult. Instructions and videos could be a little better.

Style, Function, Modularity
The quality and dedication of the team at Sherpa is evident from the very first interaction with them, and is further proven in the product itself. This rack is well engineered, easy to assemble, easy to adjust, and holds up incredibly well with no loosening or rattling or shifting (even after over 200 miles of driving on poorly maintained roads). Currently operating with approximately 180 pounds of gear mounted on the bed rack and no issues at all so far. I expected the vibration to work the bolts loose over time, but every time I check they're all still snug. My only regret is that I didn't pull the trigger and get this rack sooner.

Perfect Combination
First of all, the team at Sherpa is full of passion for adventure and that passion shows in the quality of their products. This roof rack looks incredible and surprised me with it's sturdiness. No loosening of hardware, even after weeks of driving. This is our first roof rack that we are going to use to put a RRT (roof top tent) on for back country trips. Well-built product that came with all the nuts, bolts and washers to complete the installation. Took about 1-1/2 to 2 hours install the rack. You will another person to help place the racks on top of the Jeep for final install. Overall, a great, well-built American product

IMO BEST RACK ON THE MARKET!!
This is on my tundra absolutely solid rack looks fantastic extremely modular, which is why I went this route. I can use the whole rack when traveling and over landing then rock the chase rack only when the rest is not in use, I actually use the recovery traction board mounts for my shower room set up, which works amazingly just relocated the board somewhere shown in picture keep innovating TUWAand I’ll keep purchasing.
