+ Will this fit my FJ Cruiser with KDSS?

No, this specific kit is designed for Non-KDSS models. KDSS-equipped vehicles have different sway bar mounting points that interfere with the design of these plates. Please check our other listings for KDSS-compatible armor.
+ Is drilling required for the fuel tank plate?

No. All three plates in this kit, including the combined transfer case and fuel tank skid, are 100% bolt-on. They utilize existing factory holes and threaded mounting points on the FJ chassis.
+ How does 6mm aluminum compare to steel for durability?

While steel is harder, it is prone to rusting and much heavier. Our 6mm aluminum is specifically chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio. It provides structural shielding that absorbs impact and returns to its shape better than thinner steel, and it will never rust even if the surface gets scratched.
+ Can I install this kit by myself?

Yes. Most FJ owners can install this kit with basic hand tools. However, since the system weighs 92 lbs total and the transfer/fuel plate is large, having a second person or a floor jack to hold the plates in position during bolting is highly recommended.
+ Will this kit fit with a differential drop kit?

This kit is designed for models without a diff drop. A differential drop lowers the front-end components, which may cause clearance issues with the engine skid plate. If you have a diff drop, spacers or minor modifications may be required for fitment.
