Description

AMP Research PowerStep Plug-N-Play | 2021-2023 Ford F-150

Automatic Electric Step. 600 lb Capacity. No-Splicing Plug-N-Play Install.

The Industry Standard for Automatic Running Boards

Getting into your truck shouldn't feel like climbing Mount Everest. That's why AMP Research invested in the POWERSTEP, the automatic, electric-powered running board that instantly extends when you open your door, and then hides itself safely out of sight when the doors close.

Specifically engineered for the 2021-2023 Ford F-150, this handsome design sets the industry standard for all-weather performance and legendary reliability. By retracting under the rocker panel, it improves ground clearance, aerodynamics, and the overall sleek appearance of your F-Series truck.

The Problem & The Solution:

The Pain: Modern trucks sit higher than ever, making entry difficult for children, elderly passengers, and those with knee issues. Fixed running boards often sit too high to be helpful and ruin the truck's profile.
The PowerStep Solution: We provide a lower stepping point that deploys instantly when needed and completely disappears when the truck is in motion.

Real Ford Owner Feedback ★★★★★

"The Plug-N-Play install was a game changer on my 2022 F-150. No wire splicing at all. My kids can finally get into the truck without a struggle, and the steps look awesome when they tuck away—it keeps the truck looking clean and lifted. The LEDs are also incredibly bright at night."

- Jason M., F-150 Owner
Important Installation Note

Check Your Port: This kit utilizes your OBD-II port for a no-splice connection. If you use an insurance monitor or tuner in that port, you may need an OBD-II splitter to run both devices simultaneously.

Frequently Asked Questions

+ Will these work in freezing winter conditions?

Yes. The high-torque electric motors are designed to break through light ice buildup. For extreme winter conditions, we recommend a silicone-based lubricant on the pivot points periodically to ensure smooth operation.

+ Does "Plug-N-Play" mean I don't have to wire anything?

"Plug-N-Play" means you do not have to splice or tap into your truck's factory door trigger wires. You will still need to run power to the battery and connect the motors, but the data signal is handled instantly via the OBD-II port.

+ Is it safe if a child steps on it while it's closing?

Absolutely. The PowerStep features built-in safety sensors. If the board senses any obstruction while closing, it will instantly reverse direction to prevent injury.

+ How much maintenance do these require?

Very little. We recommend rinsing the linkage and steps with a high-pressure hose during your regular car wash to remove mud or salt buildup. Avoid getting the motor directly with high pressure, but keep the pivot pins clean.

+ What Cab sizes does this fit?

The kit is universal for the 2021-2023 F-150 cab lengths. The wiring harness and boards are sized to work with Regular Cab, SuperCab, and SuperCrew models.

Prop 65 Warning- Product may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov

Proposition 65 is a California law passed in 1986. Its goals are to protect drinking water sources from toxic substances that may cause cancer and birth defects and to reduce or eliminate exposures to those chemicals generally, for example in consumer products, by requiring warnings in advance of those exposures.

The regulation requires the State of California to revise and republish yearly a list of chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm. The current list contains over 900 naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals. This regulation also requires manufacturers to place warnings on products that contain any of the chemicals listed by the State of California. No other states require warnings of this nature, and products with Prop 65 warning language are legal to sell in all states. Detailed information regarding requirements for compliance to the California Prop. 65 is can be found at: www.P65Warning.ca.gov
