Description

AMP Research PowerStep Xtreme | 2019-2023 Chevy Silverado & GMC Sierra 1500/HD

Dual-Motor Power. Sub-Zero Performance. Engineered for the Toughest Climates.

The Toughest Power Step on the Planet

The AMP Research PowerStep Xtreme is designed specifically for truck owners who live and work in the most challenging environments. Whether it's sub-zero Canadian winters or mud-caked job sites in the South, the Xtreme series is built to push through where standard power steps might bind or fail.

While the original PowerStep changed the industry, the Xtreme takes it further with a dual-motor design on each side. This provides twice the torque and strength, ensuring your boards deploy and retract reliably through heavy ice buildup and thick debris. Proudly Made in the USA, it sets the standard for heavy-duty entry systems.

The Problem & The Solution:

The Pain: Modern Silverado and Sierra trucks sit high, making entry a struggle. Standard electric boards can freeze shut in winter or bind up when caked in heavy mud, leaving you without a step when you need it most.
The Xtreme Solution: High-torque Dual Motors punch through ice and mud, while the Aggressive Design ensures non-slip traction even in work boots covered in snow or grime.

⚠️ 2022 MODEL VERIFICATION: This kit fits the 2022 Silverado/Sierra 1500 LTD/Limited (Old Body Style) only. It does not fit the "New Body Style" (Refresh) models.

Real Owner Feedback ★★★★★

"I live in a rural area with deep snow and mud. I was worried about power steps freezing up, but the Xtreme dual-motors handle it easily. They punch right through the ice buildup on the rocker panels. The traction on the boards is great, and my family feels much safer getting into my 2500 HD."

Frequently Asked Questions

+ Why do I need the Xtreme model instead of the standard PowerStep?

If you live in an area with heavy snow, ice, or thick mud, the standard single-motor step might struggle. The Xtreme features dual motors for twice the torque, ensuring the steps deploy even when obstructed by heavy debris or ice.

+ Does this work with both Diesel and Gas models?

Yes, the Xtreme series is engineered to fit both Gas and Diesel engine configurations for the Silverado and Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, and 3500 HD within the specified year ranges.

+ How do I know if I have a 2022 Silverado Limited (LTD)?

The 2022 Limited/LTD model is the "Old Body Style" carried over from 2021. If your truck has the "refreshed" interior with the large screen, it is the "New Body Style" and this specific part will not fit.

+ What is the weight capacity per side?

The PowerStep Xtreme is rated for up to 600 lbs per side, providing a solid and stable platform for passengers of all sizes.

+ Is drilling required for installation?

For most Silverado and Sierra models, these steps are a direct bolt-on to factory mounting points. However, some minor wiring routing and the use of the OBD-II plug-and-play module are required.

California Residents

Prop 65 Warning- Product may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov

Proposition 65 is a California law passed in 1986. Its goals are to protect drinking water sources from toxic substances that may cause cancer and birth defects and to reduce or eliminate exposures to those chemicals generally, for example in consumer products, by requiring warnings in advance of those exposures.

The regulation requires the State of California to revise and republish yearly a list of chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm. The current list contains over 900 naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals. This regulation also requires manufacturers to place warnings on products that contain any of the chemicals listed by the State of California. No other states require warnings of this nature, and products with Prop 65 warning language are legal to sell in all states. Detailed information regarding requirements for compliance to the California Prop. 65 is can be found at: www.P65Warning.ca.gov
