+ Do I need the factory Trail Rail System to install this rack?

Yes, this version of the rack is specifically designed to bolt directly to the factory-installed Trail Rail utility system for a simple, no-drill installation. If your Gladiator does not have this system, you would need to have it installed.

+ Can I still remove my hard top or soft top with the rack on?

You can still easily remove the front Freedom Top panels of the hard top. Removing the main rear portion of the hard top or fully retracting a soft top would require removing the rack's main cross-structure, which can be done with a few bolts.

+ Will this fit a Mojave or Rubicon model?

Yes, the bed and Trail Rail system are the same across all Gladiator trims, including Sport, Willys, Mojave, and Rubicon. This rack will fit perfectly on all of them.

+ Can I use this rack with a tonneau cover?

Because the rack mounts to the inside of the bed on the Trail Rail system, it is compatible with most tonneau covers that mount on top of the bed caps, such as many soft roll-up or tri-fold models.

+ How does the added weight affect the Gladiator's handling?

The base rack weighs about 88 lbs. When loading gear, especially heavy items like a rooftop tent, it's important to keep the weight centered and as low as possible. While the Gladiator's suspension is robust, you will notice a higher center of gravity, so we recommend adjusting your driving style accordingly, especially on off-camber trails.

+ What is the main benefit of the adjustable height on a Gladiator?

Adjustability lets you tailor the rack to your adventure. Use the low setting to keep a rooftop tent below the roofline for better aerodynamics on the highway. Use the high setting to carry long items like surfboards or kayaks above the cab, freeing up bed space below.
